About Psi Upsilon at Michigan State University

The Epsilon Nu chapter of Psi Upsilon Fraternity, founded 1833, is one of 45 other national chapters located throughout the United States. Its rich history on MSU’s campus dates back to 1889. The current chapter house, which is owned outright, was built in 1926 for the Fraternity. The chapter seeks to maintain its traditions through its new generations. Our chapter recruitment always strives for excellence and we hold in the highest regard the value of quality over quality and to this day remains a small brotherhood averaging 40 members.

Philanthropy Event: Teddy Bear Picnic and Haunted House

Each fall the active chapter participates in the annual Teddy Bear Picnic which is hosted by the MSU Children's Health Initiative at the 4-H Children's Gardens on campus. Before Halloween the chapter house is converted into a haunted house and area children are invited to participate in arts, crafts and other Halloween activities while benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Lansing. In the spring neighborhood children are once again invited up to the chapter house to participate in an egg hunt around the property.
