About Kappa Delta at Michigan State University
The women of Kappa Delta sorority pride themselves with their Open Motto-- striving for that which is honorable, beautiful and highest. Members foster the development of their time-honored values within the context of friendship. Kappa Delta is committed in providing opportunities and experiences that inspire women to greatness. Kappa Deltas are involved both inside and outside the chapter, with office holders on student organizations, athletes in club and intramural sports and scholars in the honors college. Being a Kappa Delta signifies community involvement, leadership and sisterhood that go far beyond one’s college years.

Philanthropy Event: Shamrock Golf Classic
Every fall, Kappa Delta participates in a Golf Classic, where the proceeds go directly to Prevent Child Abuse America. In 2007, Alpha Alpha chapter celebrated its 28th annual Golf Classic, raising over $5,000. The event not only raises a great deal of money but involves chapter members, family, and other members of the Greek community.
Beyond Kappa Delta’s main philanthropic event, the women of Alpha Alpha donate each year to orthopedic research in hopes of improving the lives of others. The women have also adopted a Girl Scout troop in the local area where they have invited the girls to the house for a day of picnic and crafts in the spring and a night full of caroling in the winter. Kappa Delta has recently become involved in the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty by hosting informational booths in the dorms to promote self esteem among young adults.
