About Alpha Chi Omega at Michigan State University

Alpha Chi Omega is a non-profit women's fraternity founded on October 15, 1885. Currently, there are over 130 chapters of Alpha Chi Omega at colleges and universities across the United States. Its official symbol is the lyre, and its colors are scarlet red and olive green. Its flower is the red carnation and its official motto is “Together let us seek the heights”. Alpha Chi Omegas national philanthropy is domestic violence prevention and awareness.

Philanthropy Event: Softball Smash

Held every year, spring semester. Softball Smash is a softball tournament for men. All proceeds go to MSU Safe Place (an on campus shelter for victims of domestic violence). Along with an entrance fee to play, concessions are also sold to raise money.
